Joint concert of the Malta Symphony and the Danubia Orchestra
The new project of the Danubia Orchestra and Máté Hámori debuted on 23 September 2021 at the Liszt Academy. The aim of the project is to promote the integration of children studying music in the most disadvantaged regions of the country. This social and integration programme, rather than a talent developing programme, aims to give a life-changing experience to children in difficult circumstances, but also to send an important message to our more fortunate audiences: 'Speech divides, music unites - building bridges across the steepest chasm. In a joint programme with the Malta Symphony, members of the orchestra regularly visit children in Tarnazsadány and Tarnabod, where they play with young musicians, typically from extreme poverty, in preparation for joint music academy performances. This production, specially created for the occasion, summarises the work of the last year and a half.
The performance is approximately 60 minutes long.
