Joy / Glimmer / Geniuses
A concert of versatility and infinite talent, featuring one of the country's most distinguished leaders of a gypsy band – „cigányprímás” -, ifj. Lajos Sárközy, will bring to life all the nuances of the beautiful violin sound with the primordial power of gypsy musicians and their astonishing virtuosity. In addition to Ravel's classic, a premiere will give him another opportunity to do so: Rezső Ott's virtuoso concerto, written especially for Sárközy, is a true curiosity in the genre. Hopefully this will be one of the most entertaining and colourful concerts of the season, and can be recommended as a first concert experience, but also for advanced concertgoers who are interested in rarities and great solo performances.
