Andromeda e Perseo
A concert-like performance in Italian, with Hungarian subtitle
We are always happy to discover hidden treasures in the enermous basement system of music history - this evening we have scheduled an almost never-heard opera by the famous Haydn's less known, but the more fantastic younger brother with an individual voice, Michael Haydn, interpreted by the most renowned Hungarian performer of the style, György Vashegyi. The reason for the rare appearance is that - along with thousands of other hidden sheets - the manuscript of the opera has been lying in the dusty warehouses of the Széchenyi Library for years. Well, we are now bringing it to the surface so that you also can get to know this sparklingly original music.
